Where to begin!

So much has changed since my past post!

As my family was, a husband and a 5 year old, we spent 8 months travelling up and down the East Coast of Australia.

It was amazing.  highly recommend it.  Lots of free camping and living on lentils, but we did it.

Now in 2017, my husband is an ex and my son is now 8.

As a single mother, I have been busy working to make my way in the world, most grateful to a woman who gave me a job.  I've worked my behind off, to prove myself in the position, and find myself moving onto another job in a few days time.

It's a leap of faith to the new job.  More money, but it's only a short term position.  So keep a set of fingers crossed for me.

I have spent the last 12 months travelling around.  I lived for a few months with a relative in England, trying to figure out what I wanted in my life, while I helped him out with his life (and his two beautiful daughters, who I love dearly).

When I returned to Australia, I was fortunate enough to live with some friends while I saved up to rent a place.

After a few months, it's time to move on.  My landlords are renovating and have given me 5 weeks to find a new place.

Fortunately a friend has offered me a place in his backyard.  Cheap rent in return for revitalizing his vegetable garden.

As a mad keen gardener, I'm really excited!  I haven't had my hands in dirt for over a year.  My friend doesn't know this, but I'm planning on taking over his vegie patch and just going crazy with manure all all sorts of good stuff. (I guess as soon as he reads this, he'll know).

I plan to be there for a few months, over summer, in either a tent or a caravan (options haven't been finalised yet).

With the reduction in rent, I'm hoping to be able to reduce my hours and thus spend more time writing my new book, while I share custody of my 8 year old (who has already been corrupted into gardening).

My advice is to follow your dreams.  There are so many people living in fear, and that fear is preventing them from pursuing their dream lifestyle.

I'm not rich.  I simply chose to change the way I live so I could chase my passions.

Stay safe.  Read more, watch TV less.
